oAKS pARK, CARSHALTON

The Oaks was one of the great sporting country houses of 18th Century England. Oaks Park covers 33.57 hectares of a mixture of landscapes including formal horticulture, natural chalk meadows, woodlands and informal parkland. The grounds are managed by the London Borough of Sutton who have won several Green Flag awards for their management of it and Oaks Park is a valuable haven for wildlife and nature conservation. We are very lucky to have use of an outdoor nature space in the middle of Oaks Park for our groups with a beautiful chalk meadow that fills with spring flowers, and an area of woodland with a wide variety of trees, plants and animals which offers an abundance of nature experiences and endless awe and wonder to everyone who joins us

 The park offers free parking, toilet & nappy change facilities and a cafe with additional 'wild' toilets, hand washing station and  parent self-serve refreshments in our forest school area

S4 -hail & ride to The Warren,
166 – to Carshalton Road
154- to Carshalton Beeches Station 166
By Train;  
Carshalton Beeches Station – from the station turn left and then left again on to the B278 Beeches Avenue which becomes Woodmansterne Road, Oaks Park is one mile.
By Car; There are two main car parks – one off Croydon Lane and one off Woodmansterne road. The entrance closest to our meet point is Croydon Lane.

Sutton Ecology Centre 

Sutton Ecology Centre is a nature reserve and environmental education site in the centre of our local Carshalton community. The grounds offer opportunities to learn and explore wildlife habitats, composting, organic and wildlife gardening. The site itself has a wide variety of pine and broadleaf trees and a broad ecosystem with some rare and wonderful species residing there. We are very lucky to be able to offer forest school sessions on this site of such abundant wildlife and which offers a rich forest school experience to our young explorers.
we currently run our Nature Play sessions on Tuesday Mornings from 10-11.30am for our younger forest school explorers - please see our sessions and booking pages for more information. 

How To Find Us 
Sutton Ecology Grounds is by the ponds and Honeywood Museum in Carshalton. It is best accessed on foot from festival walk, with Carshalton Train Station a 10 minute walk away and the closest car park on the high street a similar distance.
